Our Firm

Macgregor Erasmus Attorneys Inc. is an innovative Law Firm that redefines the role that Lawyers ought to play by providing quick, pragmatic and robust legal solutions and representation which is bespoke to Multinational Corporations, Blue-chip companies, Large, Medium, Small, Micro-enterprises and to a wide range of Entrepreneurs and Individuals.

The firm is a specialist Employment and Commercial Litigation Practice which holds a National presence, and is represented by an array of leading entrepreneurial Lawyers who are dynamic, versatile, resilient and are at the core modern, creative thinkers.

In addition to its Legal standing, the Firm has a particular interest in the development and growth of young local Artists and Entrepreneurs and the preservation of Culture in the communities located in the surrounds of two of its offices which are situated at historically significant sites at The Point, Durban and Bo-Kaap in Cape Town.

Founded by two specialist Employment Lawyers who hailed from and left the constraints of one of the Largest Law Firms in Southern Africa, the Firm was created with a unique and contemporary spin on the mechanics, operation and practice of Law in an emerging market. This vision has been adapted and shared by their young Directors to create a true corporate meritocracy dedicated to excellence in the practice of Law.

Our Culture

Durban

The Head Office is invested at the heart of The Durban Point Waterfront precinct located adjacent to South Africa’s busiest Port whilst being a stone’s throw away from the new state-of-the-art MSC Passenger Liner Shipping Terminal, Durban Community Court, High Court, Labour Court, CCMA and Magistrates Court.

The Point’s exquisite geographical location, local Arts, Culture and entrepreneurship is such that it is at the forefront of a R 35-billion upmarket residential, commercial, retail, hotel and leisure investment development project which is currently underway.

Over and above the firm’s advantageous position, the Practitioners at this office have a particular interest in the preservation and development of both old and contemporary Art and Culture which is found at the Point. This office promotes the local Artists’ craftmanship by commissioning them to make or place their Artwork on display within the four walls of the firm.

Cape Town

The Cape Town office is strategically located within walking distance of the Cape Town High Court, Labour Court and Magistrate’s Court. The shadow of table mountain is ever present and we are fortunate to be immersed in the rich historical character and heritage of the colourful Bo-Kaap, an area that we are committed to help preserve.

The spectacular Cape Town harbour and Waterfront is on our doorstep and world famous art galleries, coffee roasteries, boutique eateries and the cultural buzz of Cape Town meet us each day. Our team has a strong focus in employment law, advising and litigating on behalf of employers, trade unions as well as individual employees. Our civil and commercial litigation practice boasts with an impressive number of corporate clients, political parties and local municipalities who we assist in contractual and local government disputes.

Johannesburg

The Johannesburg office operates out of the Sandton Business District, Africa’s wealthiest square mile which is the home to some of the world’s leading multinational companies, most opulent hotels and shopping centres. It boasts prime commercial and residential property and has the most number of certified Green Buildings on the continent. This office is armed with leading Employment, Labour, Corporate and Commercially skilled Practitioners operating in Retail, Motor, Manufacturing, Mining and Construction Sectors with South Africa and Africa and carries a vested interest in the development and growth of the rapid rail link, hotels, banks and young entrepreneurs in its surrounds.
